Most Riveting Chariot Game Ever!

Valeria Mucius here, reporting from the biggest chariot race of the year. This game has been long awaited and is finally happening. The best racers from all of Rome have gathered here to the arena today and the crowd is already going wild! Today we have Caelus Nemetorius Apelles and Oppius Rufrius Majus about to go head to head as this is the game that all the previous ones have been leading up to. Not only are they the 2 best racers, but they have the finest racing horses. They each have 4 horses that are as fast as lightning!

Oh, the buccinas are blaring, we know what that means. The race is about to begin! Caelus has strode in with his gorgeous white horses and Oppius has entered with his mysterious black horses and they are riding upon the most gorgeous chariots I have ever seen! These are the complete opposite of the chariots we ride down the streets and have a beautiful golden outline. All I can hear is the roar of the crowd now as the chariots are aligning beside each other. And they have taken off! I had no idea horses could be so fast! Among the noise of cheering and trotting, this is absolutely riveting! I am not picking teams but Caelus is currently ahead by a very large lead. They are approaching the finish line more and more by the second and it’s now neck to neck! This is unbelievable, as if by magic, Oppius has become neck to neck with Caelus. This game really can change in the blink of an eye. And with Oppius now ahead, he passes the finish line! This was so unexpected, but I’m so glad I witnessed it. I really love chariot races now, and can see why everyone else does.
